Hello world! My name is Rosa, I’m 21 and I’m currently studying at University of Valencia to become a Primary teacher. I live in a Valencian town which is the closest one to the city. In the following lines I am going to tell you why I love English so much and my decision to become a teacher. I hope you are ready to travel with me through this linguistic journey. Let’s go!
Since
I was little I have had a passion for learning in general, but I think above
all, there are two top passions called languages and music. I remember when my
mother used to tell me how much I moved even before I was born and how she felt
that. When I was three, she used to tell me a lot of stories and I enjoyed
listening to them. I had my first contact with English language at the age of
six, and suddenly I fell in love with it. English language has meant a lot to
me because it is like a kind of connection that increases your motivation and
your passion for learning. When I was a child, I enjoyed spending my free time
doing a lot of activities, and one of my favourites was singing songs in
English.
I
have had several experiences related to both languages and music which I adored,
and I think these experiences have helped me to be the person who I am now. Due
to music and languages I’ve travelled around the UK and I must admit that being
in contact with other cultures enriches you a lot as a learner and as a human
being. I have met a lot of people from different countries; we have shared
laughs, music, food, and friendship.
What
I would like to do in the future when I teach my students is to share with them
all my experiences and knowledge related to languages and music and help them
develop their joy for discovery and their appetite for learning.
